We work with a small number of people. Deliberately.
Edenmere & Co advises high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and founders navigating liquidity events.
Arrange a conversationWe believe the quality of thinking is the product.
We do not manage portfolios. We work alongside people navigating moments of genuine financial complexity — a business sale, a generational transfer, a sudden concentration of wealth — and we help them think clearly when it is most difficult to do so.
Our approach begins with understanding what someone is actually trying to protect, build, or leave behind. The financial structure follows that understanding. We have found that most advisory relationships fail not because of poor returns, but because the advisor never truly understood what the client was trying to do.
We work with a deliberately small number of clients. We do not take on engagements where we cannot be genuinely useful. We do not have a product to sell.
Every client works directly with a partner. Always.
"I have spent twenty years working with families and founders at the point where financial complexity meets personal consequence. I am interested in what people are actually trying to do with their wealth, not what the model suggests they should do."

"Founders who have just sold a business are not wealthy individuals. They are people in transition. The financial questions matter less than the identity questions, and I try to hold both at the same time."

The illusion of diversification in an era of correlated risk
"This piece articulates something I have been trying to explain to clients for years. True diversification is not about asset class spread. It is about uncorrelated outcomes. Most portfolios that claim to be diversified are not."

The psychology of enough
"I send this to founders before our first meeting. The question of how much is enough is not a financial question. It is a philosophical one, and most advisory relationships never touch it. This essay does."

Why concentrated positions persist longer than they should
"The behavioural economics here are well documented but under-applied in practice. Clients hold concentrated positions not because they have reasoned it through, but because selling feels like a betrayal of the thing they built. That feeling deserves a conversation, not a spreadsheet."

Inheritance and the silence that surrounds it
"Generational wealth transfers fail more often for relational reasons than financial ones. Families do not discuss the values they are transferring alongside the assets. This piece is uncomfortable in the right way."
